Summer Camps – Science and STEM

Scratch Coding for ages 7 to 10 years

Build your own game: In this course, students will learn about parts of a computer and what they do. They will develop programming skills in Scratch, design, develop their own game and engage in various enrichment activities. The course will run for five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm. Students will participate in imaginative pursuits, such as crafting flying paper models, tackling math puzzles and building basic electronic circuits.

Web Development & 3D Printing for ages 8 to 16 years

In this course, students will learn about the World Wide Web and develop fundamental web development skills, enabling them to craft their own landing pages. The course will run for five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm, encompassing a spectrum of web development concepts, from introductory to advanced levels. Moreover, we integrate exciting STEM activities into the course schedule throughout the week.

Python Coding for ages 11 to 16 years

Build your own app: In this course, students will learn about parts of a computer and what they do. They will develop fundamental skills in Python, create their own app and much more! The course will run for five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm, and will cover different aspects of Python programming – from basic to advanced. We also run fun STEM activities, tailored to ages 11-16, for added excitement and learning opportunities.

Explore STEM with BBC micro: bit for ages 8 to 14 years

In this course, students will explore the realm of microcomputers and develop skills to get creative with technology using BBC micro: bit. The course will run for five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm. Expanding on micro: bit activities, the course will cover various aspects of programming micro: bit chips, enabling the participants to conceive and implement a diverse array of thrilling STEM projects. The participants of the course will delve into coding principles, experiment with sensors and inputs, and master techniques to control external components. Projects include: creating interactive games, developing environmental monitoring systems, crafting wearable gadgets, and more. By the end of the course, participants will emerge with a comprehensive understanding of micro: bit programming and the ability to innovate and problem-solve using this versatile microcomputer platform.
